Our bouldering centre is made by local Kent climbers and run by climbers, and we provide an exhilarating indoor rock climbing experience which can be enjoyed by children from five years old with no upper age limit for big kids! Whether you want to try something new, have a day out in Tunbridge Wells with the family, find an alternative way to get fit, or you are a climber needing a new gym, Chimera is for you.
Located in the South East, an hour outside London in the heart of Kent, Chimera is full of friendly knowledgeable staff who all climb locally on the sandstone rocks and are always happy to give you some helpful advice.

Bouldering is indoor climbing without ropes, using padded mats for safety. Climbs are shorter but powerful, making it fun and accessible for all skill levels.
You can rent climbing shoes and chalk at reception. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a reusable water bottle – refilling stations are available.
Only if they are booked into a supervised session (like a kids’ club or party). Otherwise, an adult must supervise them.
